WOW !!!!!, April 5, 2012

We just set this new LED TV up last night and absolutely LOVE IT!!!! Originally we purchased the Sony “Google” TV and sent it back, it was the worst TV we have ever had. We’ve always had Sony and love the quality of there product and were surprised with the lack of quality in the goole TV. Everything Looks Great and Works Well!, May 14, 2012

Bought this TV brand new from one of the Best Buy closing out sales. I must say I am shocked at how everyone seems to be having so many problems with getting Netflix to work on this TV. I got Netflix up and running immediately along with the Hulu. This televisions contrast ratio is amazing, you can always tell a difference between the colors, especially the dark scenes vesus the very light scenes. Definitely has a clear image and is really great for gaming. I have to say that I didn’t appreciate the fact that it has Yahoo! apps built in versus Google apps. I do absolutely like the Bravia sync, as it works really well with other Sony devices, the remote is interchangeable between all items and thats really helpful. Overall, really great product and I am once again impressed with Sony screens.

After looking at the available TV’s I selected this one. Other reviews indicate visible light on the edges of the screen, I have not seen this on the one I received. The only problem I had was how to attach external speakers. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Sony help to discover that RKN215PM would work. However the part is not available from Sony and no one else shows the part. I did find that Radio Shack had the part I needed. It is a Y-adapter 1/8″ Stero Male to Dual RCA (Phono) Female part number appears to be 274-0883. It solved the problem and I am well pleased with the TV.

They stripped a lot of features out for 2012 over the same 2011/2010 line/models. The reasons are unclear. I assume to just make more money and fleece their customers even more. They removed so many great features that really made this a great set but they kept the price the same, which I would like to point out is already high compared to other models in the size. There is just no sense or logic in the stripping of these features whatsoever.

They removed a HDMI port. Now there are not enough ports to hook up everything you need. Deal breaker for most potential customers right there. With just 2 ports, I’ve already had to pull out my set away from the wall several times to juggle between consoles, or if I want to watch a bluray movie or if I want to watch cable. It’s a hassle. A good but not great set, March 31, 2012

LG’s lower-mid level sets have earned a reputation for having low gaming lag, great color accuracy, and the most extensive features and picture options of any sets at or even above their price level. The CS560 series still delivers in these regards, but to a lesser extent than earlier models.

The styling and build quality of the set are very good overall. My panel is a S-IPS type, though LG may be conducting a panel lottery (randomly shipping VA and IPS panels for the same model) as they have in the past. The buttons are front mounted and touch sensitive, which is a nice feature but makes operating the set in the dark very awkward. One complaint to make about the set is that it buzzes faintly unless the backlight is set to 100, which can be annoying when using the set quietly at night.

The input lag at 1080p seems to average around 1-2 frames, keeping with LG’s standard for fast processing time. There is hardly any noticeable increase in lag when upscaling from… Read more

Highly disappointed . . ., March 25, 2012

Do not buy this TV expecting to get the same quality that the 32LD450 and the 32LK450 had. While it may be the 32LK450′s replacement, it certainly doesn’t live up to its predecessor. The only area of “improvement” is that they will all allegedly have IPS screens. The one I purchased was an S-IPS (I would have chosen A-MVA if I had a choice), the other unit on the shelf had the same AUSY code, and so did the display unit. The IPS is only an “improvement” though if you were playing the panel lottery with the 32LK450 and trying to find an IPS panel instead of the A-MVA panel. The TV I got has a very minimal amount of backlight bleed on the bottom edge slightly to the right of the center. It’s not very noticeable with the backlight down but if you have it high, it stands out and has been getting worse. Initially there was no banding on the DVI>HDMI signal from the PC on various test pages but, that has started to show up as well for some reason. Speaking of tests, do not bother… Read more

The LG 47LM 6200 LED edge lit LCD HDTV is perhaps the best current value on the market today! With a razor sharp crystal clear picture, the absolute BEST 3D passive system available and wireless connectivity coupled with web browsing and limitless apps and 3rd party video content providers, you just can’t beat it!

I find a 47 inch HDTV to have the SHARPEST picture obtainable. The larger the screen, the farther apart the pixels are placed and the less cohesive the image becomes. Unless you plan to sit 10 ft or so away from your television I honestly think a 55 inch screen doesn’t provide the best picture quality. Perhaps when OLED displays with 4k tech become the norm that will change. But for now, all 3 of my LG flat panels are 47 inch and for a good reason.

Great TV. Picture Is Great. A few specs are incorrect. Some just changed on LG web site with in the past few days. The width of this tv on many sites including Amazon is 36.7 inchs. This is WRONG, Just purchased TV and width is 38.5 inches which is stated correctly in the manual included with 42lm6200 only. So beware of incorrect specs. My cabinet is only 38 inches and tv was supposed to be 36.7 inches. Over an inch to spare, but no, when removed from box tv was 38.5 inches and had to modify my tv cabinet for it to fit. Only half inch so not that bad.

Also some sites say TV had LED plus with local dimming. LG even stated that also up untill the past week when they corrected all mistakes on thier web site. TV is only standard LED with NO LOCAL DIMMING.

FYI – Has a lot of settings but a few are missing. Like notbeing able to adjust the True Motion. No On or Off or anything to adjust strength of True Motion. It is just on all the time.

So far, so AWESOME!!!, April 26, 2012

Having owned a 2004 62″ Toshiba DLP set (62hmx94) for the last 8 years, I didn’t want to downsize so I went with the LG 65LM6200 but I got it from HHGregg locally for $2450. I’m blown away by the picture quality and 3d of this set. I think the resolution upscaler (new for 2012) and Triple XD (vs last year’s XD, which refers to the number of processors: 3 vs 1)make a difference because standard def content never looked so good! Fired up Born To Be Wild 3d Blu-Ray on my PS3 and I am BLOWN AWAY by the immersive 3d. I watched this movie at the IMAX when it came out and if you own a 3d set, you owe it to yourself to get this one. It is one of the best 3d Blu-Ray experiences out there. I just purchased this TV last night but did a ton of research on this set and the 65LW6500 (last year’s model) beforehand and was ready to buy the LW6500 until I was able to get a price within $250 (for warranty and all) of last year’s model for the 65LM6200. I really love this TV. This is my first flat screen TV. I did a lot of homework before zeroing on this TV.

I purchased it based on the following features:
– It is a smart HDTV, LED – 60Hz and this year’s model available at considerably better price as compared to even last year models with similar features. Though, I would have been very happy if I could have closed the deal at $ 650 :-p

I did see the earlier reviews for this TV but most seemed like user training issues.

The sound/picture quality is excellent. Picture quality will seem dull with the eco friendly setting of Standard. However, it is configurable per your liking and the user manual is very effective in identifying and setting up your needs. 3 HDMI + 2 USB available

Setting up Network/WI FI is also very easy.

The best LED-lit television at a budget price, June 14, 2012

Samsung’s 2012 line of LCD televisions focuses primarily on switching their backlighting from CCFL to direct-array LED. Unlike CCFL lighting, LEDs don’t diminish in brightness over time and have an incredibly long lifespan. Additionally, these sets are significantly lighter than their old CCFL counterparts which makes moving them around easier. However, this model is not edge-lit which means it’s not really thinner despite the weight savings. The lights are directly behind the screen (i.e. direct-array), which many video purists prefer since it makes the lighting more even. This model does not support local dimming.

The TV is amazing. Retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart etc don’t display this TV in their stores because they want you to buy the higher priced LED TVS… This TV is a well kept secret and has all the “next gen” features of a SMART HDTV.

Without getting much into the technical details of the TV..

1) Great Picture Quality… Samsung is the best in the business and lives up to it’s reputation.
2) Amazing surround sound.. you won’t be disappointed
3)High number of HDMI and USB ports.. You can plug in your Roku, DVD Player, Cable Set top box connection.. etc without needing an adapter to increase HDMI ports
(4) Best of all.. I have lots of movies on my Portable USB Hard Drive, I plug it in the TV and *BOOM* I am able to watch ALL the movies from my USB Drive.. All popular formats supported including avi.
(5) This TV has built in apps for Netflix, youtube etc… Roku.. Who needs Roku?? Sell it off in eBay and pocket the Money!
