Work Crocs - Failure number two. March 7, 2010 Pokerbluff (USA) Crocs shoes are a different animal than most shoes. I had tried the Santa Cruz and though it was bad.
This shoes does not have holes so I though I could have some use for that. The top is hard so maybe better protection. No one near by had a beach crocs so why not try this one.
First problem I ran into was that I wear size 12 shoe. I wore size 11 in the Santa Cruz. I had to go to size 10 in this shoe. The 11 was just too big.
Second problem. I tried to take a short walk in this shoe. The left shoe rubbed on the side of my foot. I added a band aid and new socks for this issue.
Third problem. The right foot did not feel good on the heal of right foot.
Fourth problem. The shoes do not have enough ventilation for heat.
Fitth problem. I do not walk well in these shoes.
I do not like the shoes.
The Santa Cruz are much better than these.
They are a hard material so they will give some protection for hard objects outside but the bad issues are 10 to every good one.
Update:
These shoes are real hot and dangerous to wear for long periods of time. No air for feet. I have worn them a lot though and they do not have holes so I can work in the yard with them. I have sweated threw my socks on a cold day next to the computer. They have held up so far though. Note: Mine is the specilized version.
Shoes February 5, 2010 Jeffrey P. Cox These used to be made of soft rubber but now of much harder material. So, these are much less comfortable.
beatiful January 18, 2010 Martin Elias Casanova well i choosed a wrong size but they are very great shoes for work, go to the beach or be around... very nice
great in kitchen October 24, 2009 Aezarra I work in the galley (kitchen) of a fishing boat in Alaska. 14 hours a night, 7 days a week for months at a time. What a life saver to be introduced to these shoes. No pain from the day I put them on. Easy to clean and non-slip even in the roughest weather.
Cons? Feet do sweat and these shoes don't breathe so good socks are a must, I found my heels tended to dry out. Be aware though that water does tend to stick in the tread and I had the misfortune to step badly on steep stairs. My foot hit the metal edge and I slid all the way to the bottom. No harm done but I learnt my lesson. They do not grip well whilst wet on edges of metal. Flat surfaces I've never had a problem. No sliding even when wet.
Overall if you are on you're feet all day or night and worry about slipping these are the best I have encountered.
crocs are so awesome October 9, 2009 Angela Cashatt (Rowlett, TX) I bought these shoes to work at the restaurant. I have Plantar fasciitis and working at the restaurant kills my feet. I had read all about the shoes and decided to give it a try. There was some great information regarding the shoes and this condition.
Before I was complaining by hour 6 of how badly my feet hurt. AT the end of my 8 hour shift, I could barely walk. My feet were so swollen and so achy. I would wrap them in a cold cloth and massage them with the foot massager. It was absolutely horrible. After a 20 minute stint of driving, I would barely be able to walk into the house. I tried numerous foot insoles with no success. Heel that pain, dr. schols, and a few others. Heel that pain was the worst. No help at all.
Well, I love the shoes, my feet are still a little sore after working but the change is phenomenal. I can finish my shift now. When I drive home and get out of the car I can walk into the house. It is such a great change.
The only bad side is your feet get really wet. I have to wash the floors and there is no way to keep your feet from getting wet. But it is totally worth it.
